Welcome
My name is Rosanna Martinez, and I am the owner and founder of Meliora Healing.
I'm glad you're here.
Seeking support can feel vulnerable, and I appreciate you taking the time to learn a little about who I am and how I work.
Who am I?
Before a therapist, I am a person.
I am a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and artist. I am deeply passionate about the people I love and endlessly curious about the stories that shape us. My Dominican roots, personal experiences, and years of clinical training have all influenced the way I see the world and connect with others.
Like many of us, I know what it means to navigate life's challenges, uncertainties, and periods of growth. Those experiences have shaped not only who I am as a person, but also the therapist I strive to be.
My Background
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts and earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Expressive Arts Therapy.
Over the years, I have worked with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, and the lasting impact of difficult experiences. Much of my work focuses on helping clients understand how the past may still be influencing the present, while creating opportunities for healing, growth, and meaningful change.
In addition to traditional talk therapy, I incorporate trauma-informed approaches, including EMDR therapy, to help clients process experiences that may feel difficult to resolve through insight alone.
My Approach
I believe therapy is not about fixing people.
I believe people are often far stronger and more resilient than they realize.
My role is to create a space where you feel safe enough to explore your experiences honestly, while also offering guidance, support, and tools to help you move forward.
I strive to balance warmth with direction, compassion with honesty, and acceptance with growth. Some sessions may involve processing difficult emotions, while others may focus on building insight, learning new skills, or reconnecting with parts of yourself that have been overshadowed by stress, anxiety, or past experiences.
When appropriate, EMDR can help us move beyond understanding what happened and begin processing it in a way that allows your mind and nervous system to truly heal.
Why Meliora Healing?
The word Meliora means "better" or "toward improvement."
Not perfection. Not having everything figured out.
Just moving forward, one step at a time.
Meliora Healing was created to be a warm, grounded space where people can slow down, feel supported, and do meaningful work toward the life they want to create. If you are carrying experiences that continue to weigh on you, feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or simply looking for a place to better understand yourself, I would be honored to walk alongside you in that process.
